SERIES

FODI Festival

DATE & TIME

03-05 APRIL 2020

LOCATION

Sydney Town Hall

It's dangerous realities we face.

It’s time to confront the here and now with this year’s Festival of Dangerous Ideas.

Whistle-blower Edward Snowden, wrongfully convicted Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton, gonzo journalist Jon Ronson and ‘bad feminist’ Roxane Gay will take to the stage this April. Plus political philosopher Michael Sandel, climate change journalist David Wallace-Wells, activist and journalist Masha Gessen, and activist and lawyer Megan Davis, and many, many more.

From confronting life on an uninhabitable Earth, to the surveillance capabilities of governments, to having the power to ‘edit humanity’ through our DNA and a world in which children feel compelled to sing for their future – these are just some of the emerging realities to be explored over a weekend as part of the tenth FODI.

This year’s festival will take place at Sydney Town Hall, our city’s traditional meeting and rallying place for communities.

2020 Program releases Wednesday 29th Jan at www.festivalofdangerousideas.com
