What inspires you about the work that you do?

Connecting writers, thinkers and artists with audiences is what I love most about the work I do. That may be watching people on the edge of their seats, engaged in a riveting conversation, being challenged and inspired by new ideas shared onstage. Or it may be standing in a book signing line and seeing writers meet the readers who love their work and hear first-hand the impact of their words. Other times, it’s feeling the energy in a theatre shift when a brand-new work is finding its audience for the first time. Nothing beats that collective experience of live talks and performances.
