
Jason Pitt
Multi award-winner Jason Pitt is a dance practitioner with a multifaceted practice. His choreographic work has been influential and creative, appearing in Australia and internationally to critical acclaim, with many critics noting his unerring ability to find the raw emotion in human stories through movement.
After completing three years with NAISDA, Jason Pitt studied with the London Contemporary Dance School in 1995. He moved to the United States to train with the Ailey school. Jason was awarded a scholarship to study at the Merce Cunningham Studio in 1998. He also received the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Trust Award for Young Australians. Other awards and nominations include: Deadly Award for Dancer of the Year, Australian Dance Award and Critics Choice.
