
Erica J. Brennan
Erica J. Brennan (She/They) resides on Gadigal land as a proud Gamilaroi woman. She is an accomplished performing arts professional with over a decade of experience. Her plays explore admiration for the natural world and her fraught lived experiences as a woman.
She has written and produced three plays for The Old 505 and has performed with Ninefold Physical Theatre ensemble since 2012. Amid pandemic challenges, Erica deepened her writing practice with the Elbow Room Theatre play lab and a First Nations writers’ residency at Theatre Works. She also developed new works for the ABC and AFTRS.
In 2023, she contributed to her second Storytellers Festival with tragicomedy Fortress and presented satirical thriller The Hero Leaves One Tooth at KXT on Broadway. Erica has completed residencies with PACT Space Program, Shopfront’s Arts Lab, and The Sydney Fringe. She also sits on the Lived Experience Advisory Panel for the Arts Wellbeing Collective
