Since 2009, The Ethics Centre has proudly presented Festival of Dangerous Ideas, an independent, feisty, thought-provoking festival that puts bold speakers, artists and experiences centre stage.

We invite you to join us for the very first fundraising dinner for FODI. Hosted at Kitchen by Mike in Sydney’s CBD, your feasting will directly fuel dangerous ideas getting to the stage for 2024.

You’ll be treated to raucous conversation with special guests and fellow FODI fans. These days there is so much we dare not talk about… well, in true FODI fashion, we’re gonna go there! Sex, drugs, democracy and more as you savour Executive Chef Mike McEnearney’s delectable menu and help us secure funds for FODI. You know the rules: what happens at the Feast stays at the Feast…

  • Ticket price: $200 – Every seat sold supports FODI

  • Doors open at 6pm if you wish to purchase a pre-dinner drink

On the night

  • Each ticket treats you to a three-course meal and one bespoke FODI cocktail (non-alcoholic available).
  • Additional drinks are available to purchase at the bar.
  • FODI & Kitchen by Mike share a love of community, the menu is set and designed to be shared.
  • We’ll do our very best to accommodate dietary requests (please remember to include for each ticket when you book).
  • Be prepared to interact with new FODI friends. Groups on one booking of up to 6 will be sat together.
  • Its a fundraiser! Every seat sold supports FODI. If you’ve got more to give – we’ll take it. You can donate when you book and we’ve got a raffle, live pledge and more fun on the night.

Striving to bring you bold speakers, artists and experiences that were unexpected, perhaps uncomfortable but always unerringly authentic. You’ve turned up in droves to do danger with us. Thank you.

It’s 2023. Has there been a more urgent time for us to hold space for daring thought and respectful conversations about difficult topics? It’s one year until FODI is slated to take over Carriageworks in Winter 2024. We’ve never shied away from truth.  So, here’s our dangerous truth: FODI need funds to get there.
