Is the United States an international role model?
On 1 April 2017, some of the brightest thinkers from across the Republican and Democrat political divide came together to discuss some of the world’s biggest problems at the New York Public Library.
We talked freely and honestly about the flaws in the institutions that guard the Constitution, how we feel about strangers, where we stand on global security, whether diversity is a glue or dividing line, and free speech and the public interest.

Yaël Eisenstat
Yaël is a geopolitical and global security expert. She has been a CIA analyst, a diplomat, the senior intelligence at the National Counterterrorism Center, a national security advisor to Vice President Biden, and the head of a global political risk firm.
Derryck Green
Derryck is a theologian and a member of Project 21 – a leadership network of Black Conservatives. He is a contributor to the National Center for Public Policy Research.
Paola Mendoza
Paola was a national organiser and the Artistic Director of the Women’s March on Washington. Her activism is fueled by the hardships she experienced as an immigrant in America. She is an acclaimed filmmaker and author.
