In war, do different rules apply?

To talk about when warfare is justified beckons critics from all sides. But it isn’t going away any time soon. Without any recordings, we had an honest chat about war.

Nobody can deny war’s ills. It kills people, traumatises communities, and exposes us to the darkest corners of human nature. But when does it serve a greater good?

For the first time, Maj. Gen. Michael Krause joined us for an uncensored and intimate discussion about war. With no recordings and no media, our conversation was open, frank, and contained to the room. When is war just?

Michael Krause

is an Australian Major General at NATO, serving in that role for over 10 years.  He is also the deputy chief of staff for International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
