In this era of political division, there is a growing tendency for people to turn to sources that simply reflect their own world views. But even in the age of social media, snack-sized infotainment, and reactive 24 hour news media, there’s still a vital place for deep thinking and long form, intellectual debates.

Intelligence Squared, known as IQ2, is an international debate series bringing together diverse speakers from all walks to life to discuss tough issues of public, national interest. Two carefully chosen teams present a “For” and “Against” side of a particular argument, with the audience given a chance to participate, interact with the panel, and share their own views on the subject – both before and after the debate.

Originally established in 2002 in London, IQ2 debates are now held around the world, in Australia, The U.S., Hong Kong, Greece, Chile, and Israel.
