Heritage listed Legion House, originally constructed in 1902 for the YWCA, served as a women’s hostel and outreach service for over 60 years. Reopened in 2013, it has been artfully refurbished into one of the most sustainable designs in the world.

The Ethics Centre carries on the building’s rich social tradition, using what was once a classroom and dancehall as its creative space for conversations about the things that matter. Today, it’s a vibrant, creative hub with soaring ceilings, industrial design features and an abundance of natural light for events, meetings, workshops, forums or celebrations.

With a spacious entry foyer for event pre-registration, tables, chairs, and vintage couches, the room can cater for 80 people seated in theatre format, or 100 people standing. The space is close to hotels, parking and transport, and furniture can be removed or rearranged to suit your event needs. Facilities include an in-house PA system, handheld microphone, music playback and two linked plasma screens, as well as wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery and cutlery and a microwave.
